A bit about me
My name is Maheen Mainuddin. I'm a third year university student undertaking a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science in Psychology. I intend on pursuing the counselling profession and becoming a registered member of PACFA, a recognised body of counsellors. I have an enormous passion for helping people and working with people, as well as having a interest in mental health, which is why I want to become a counsellor in the near future.
When I graduate, I intend on pursuing a job somewhat related to my career interests. I have intentions of applying for a role in the Australian Public Service, specifically in the Department of Health in the Mental Health sector. I want to positively influence and improve mental health policies and services. I also intend on pursuing a Master's in Counselling. This would pave the way for me to become registered as a counsellor and apply for membership with PACFA. If not for counselling, I would be open to working in any field that primarily involves working with people and improving people's lives in collaborative or mentoring environments. |
